HSBC launches digital portfolio management app
HSBC Global Private Banking has launched discretionary digital portfolio management services (DPM) on a mobile app. The solution will provide clients with access to their portfolios and investment information on the go. The app is set to offer clients a seamless and efficient way to manage and monitor their assets 24/7.
Investment solution features
The portfolio management app is designed to provide private banking clients with a comprehensive view of their portfolios, allowing them to track their investments and make informed decisions about their assets. It offers a range of features, including real-time market updates, investment insights, and portfolio analysis tools, as well as educational resources.
On the platform, portfolio construction is based on building blocks covering equity, fixed income and multi-asset strategies.
The solution is available to HSBC Global Private Banking clients in Asia and is set to become a key part of the bank’s digital strategy. The DPM app is the latest addition to HSBC’s digital solutions and is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to provide clients with innovative solutions to manage their wealth.
A strategic response to a growing market demand
According to a recent survey by HSBC, 61% of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) in Asia prefer to manage their wealth digitally, and the launch of the app is a strategic response to this growing demand.
With this new digital solution, HSBC aims to target the underserved affluent and HNWI segments, notably from younger generations who are typically more involved in portfolio construction and investment decision-making. From that perspective, the bank perceives this app as a game changer for digitally savvy millennials.
